Kinaan ki Kahani - Chapter One

The room was filled with a mixed smell of D&G and dope ... issues of Gay Times and G-Mag were spread on the floor. Kinaan's tees, jeans and undies were also lying on the floor as he was naked under the cozy quilt he was so bekhabar sleeping in.

It was 12 noon, Kinaan was bombarded with his mom's shouts: " I've had enough of this... utho aur college jao ... warna i'm gonna call your Baba right now!"

With a brief calculation in his mind, Kinaan realized it would be roughly 3am in Calgary and so he managed to utter "Achhaaaa!!!!"

It was the third day that he was waking up at noon and Mrs.Ahmed had had enough already with his recently sluggish and stubborn behavior. She even fixed an appointment for Kinaan with Karachi's famous psychiatrist Dr.Mamsa.

Kinaan was doing his A-levels from Avicenna School, Karachi. His father, Mr.Ahmed, had an established business in Canada and used to visit his family every other month or so. His mother, Mrs.Ahmed, was a dedicated doctor and spent most of her time at Aga Khan.

Most of his day was spent either hanging out with friends or making random online acquaintances and meeting them thereafter.

To beat the loneliness that had been growing inside him forever, he tried to get into relationship with every other guy he met. This emotional insecurity had resulted in several break-ups and fights which had left him shattered and gloomy.

He recently indulged into doping and drinking through his friends and used to spend nights out with his straight friends.

While discussing Kinaan's ongoing mental, emotional and phical health with Dr.Khan, a good friend of Mrs.Ahmed and a senior psychologist.... Mrs.Ahmed was suggested to send Kinaan to northern areas for change of atmosphere.

When his mom proposed the idea of sending him to their Mansion in the outskirts of Murree, Kinaan was initially perplexed whether to accept this offer or not. But when he realized the FREEDOM he would enjoy there...he said 'Yes' and started packing his stuff.

After a reasonable air travel and a prolonged car drive with Khan baba who came to recieve him....he finally reached his Mansion....which instantly brought childhood memories and with that...some mist to his eyes.

While khan baba was unloading his luggage from the car, Kinaan took a 360 degree view of the scenic surrounding of his mansion as he was to spend the next couple of weeks here. It was this moment when he turned his face back to assure himself what he thought was just a wehem or khayaal .... which it wasn't.

He kept looking there ....no....staring there! He kept staring at what was becoming a confusion between Haqeeqat and Khwaab.A Deja Vu!

Standing some twelve feet away from him....he saw a guy with a sharp axe in his hands cutting wood logs with heavy strokes.

Anyone, who wouldn't know the reason of Kinaan's startled and lost state of mind would be almost justified to think of his Stare at the guy as a lustful activity....given that the wood-cutter had a muscular yet lean physique. Also, he was wearing only a shalwar, and was so soaked in sweat that his whole lower-body was showing off through the thin cloth that his shalwar was made of.

As filmi as it may sound...this was a sight he had seen several tims before...only that it was in his Dreams. Though Kinaan wasn't much of a dreamer...neither in real nor literally....this one dream where he used to see a wood-cutter cuttign the wood logs was so detailed that he could match and compare each and every detail between his dreams and what he was watching right now. He felt so stupidly filmi yet so compelled and thrilled with this Deja Vu he was experiencing...

'Ye meri behen ka ladka hai Kinaan baba...Bannu men rehta tha...wahan iss ke ghar walay zalzalay men zameen-bose ho gaye aur ye bechara mere pass agaya. Yaheen rehta hai mere sath.'

Khan baba's words felt to his ears as if someone had thrown a stone in silent waters. He came out of the shock and went inside to take shower.

...to be continued!
